The Pacific Northwest is home to some of the most rugged coastlines in the world, especially here in Oregon. Ecola State Park does a stunning job of showcasing the Oregon Coast, and the wild beauty of the Pacific Northwest made this adventure session total magic! Chelsey + Billy wanted to elope here in Oregon, and decided to make a camping road trip of it! Beginning in their home state of Minnesota, these two took a camper van through the US and made their way to Oregon to say their wedding vows. Having even just a brief idea of how you want your elopement to look like is sometimes all you need! We are here to help fill in the blanks and give you + your partner a space to be truly, authentically you. A day before Chelsey + Billy would elope on the Oregon Coast, we took to Ecola State Park in Cannon Beach to document a little slice of their elopement adventure.
When you hear the name "Cannon Beach", the first thing that may come to mind is the coastline [and even Cannon Beach's claim to fame, Haystack Rock!]. But this quaint little town is more than just where Oregon meets the Pacific Ocean. Ecola State Park, located at the northern end of Cannon Beach, offers a forest with lush ferns, coastal lookouts, and miles of trails.
We met Chelsey + Billy at the Ecola Point Day Use Area, to take advantage of the tranquil forest. Chelsey + Billy laughed and danced under the canopy of trees. The four of us then made our way to Indian Beach, navigating through the surfers and beachcombers who had come to appreciate the moody autumn day. Under overcast skies, we wanted Chelsey + Billy to feel like they could be themselves, and enjoy their little Oregon vacation! Playing tag, strolling along the shoreline and admiring the Pacific Ocean, Chelsey + Billy were able to take their time and have unforgettable moments during their elopement journey. THAT is what we fight for for our couples. The opportunity for you to have an elopement adventure in whatever way you see fit, because listening to your heart is always the right way to go.
