Nicole + Vlad
Do you ever hear a story that makes you a believer in fate? Nicole + Vlad’s adventure is just that! Nicole’s father used to be a rockstar in his native Russia, which is how he met Vlad, also in the music industry. One day out of the blue, Nicole asked her father about Vlad “is he cute?”. To which her father replied [in a thick Russian accent] “yes, I think he is beautiful!”
The same exact day and Nicole inquired about him, Vlad decided to message her! From that moment on, they were inseparable. Hours and hours of texting, Skype calls, a visit from her to Moscow, and a visit from him to her native Los Angeles. Wishing to never have to experience those tearful airport goodbyes again, Vlad received his K-1 visa and the two of them took to the beautiful Oregon Coast for their elopement. Taking a road trip from Los Angeles to Cannon Beach, Oregon, Nicole’s parents came along, to share in the joy of such a magical day for Nicole + Vlad [with Nicole’s mother foraging stunning native plants along the way for Nicole’s bouquet].
This Oregon Coast elopement began at a quaint cottage in Manzanita. Once everyone was ready, we drove up the 101 to Ecola State Park, in Cannon Beach. Miles of rugged coastline with the ocean kissing the sand, the deep emerald greens of the ferns and Hemlock trees. Only somewhere like Ecola State Park could even hope to be as gorgeous as the love Nicole + Vlad share for each other. After a touching and heartfelt ceremony underneath towering pines, Nicole + Vlad spent some time on Indian Beach, reveling in the bliss of being a newly married couple.
One of the many reasons why we are such proponents of elopements is because they allow for more opportunities for you + your partner to soak in the day together. Not on anyone else’s timeline, not under anyone else’s gaze, just you two celebrating your day on your own terms!
Speaking of celebrating, after leaving Cannon Beach, cupcakes and champagne awaited the newlyweds at the Manzanita cottage. The remainder of their elopement day was spent enjoying each other’s company, and eating pizza! [yes, dessert came before dinner because on your elopement day, YOU make the rules!]
