Madison + Becca hail from Canada, and took a trip to the States to visit some friends in Los Angeles. I hail from Los Angeles, and what better backdrop for a Southern California elopement than the desert vibes that come with eloping in Joshua Tree National Park?!
I was fortunate enough to have my brother assist me during this desert elopement. Coffee in hand just like you’d expect from a Los Angeles elopement photographer, my brother Andrew and I were thrilled to be able to be a part of Becca + Madison’s elopement day.
Madison + Becca were very intentional and planning the details of their California elopement. From adorning each other in homemade bracelets at their Yucca Valley Airbnb, to renting a badass motorcycle that would serve as their transportation throughout the national park. Becca + Madison also share their love for tattoos, and chose to commemorate their elopement by getting matching Joshua Tree tattoos at Hilltop Tattoo Company in Twentynine Palms.
Tattoos complete, we traversed through Joshua Tree National Park to their elopement ceremony spot, but not before meeting up with officiant Kate of Tapestry Event Co.! I adore working with Kate, and it just so happened that she was vacationing in Palm Springs during the time of Madison + Becca’s elopement — serendipity is always welcome with me.
After a mountaintop ceremony overlooking the Coachella Valley, Becca + Madison shared a first dance and enjoyed the sun setting behind Mount San Jacinto.
