While one of Brooke + Jack's favorite adventures together was a road trip around Ireland, it was naturally fitting that the greenery of the Pacific Northwest would call to these two Midwesterners for their elopement.
Brooke + Jack knew that they wanted a location that was quintessentially PNW, and that's where we came in! Friends; so many of our couples come from out of state, and we know how overwhelming it can be when first researching locations and trying to scout from so far away! More than just photographers, we are planners + guides, which means we help you craft a day that faithfully embodies your relationship.
After some careful thought on what Oregon and Washington have to offer, Brooke + Jack knew that they wanted to exchange their vows underneath the lush canopy of the Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park.
There is a reason why, to us, the words "adventure" + "elopement" go hand in hand. These two roadtripped from the Midwest, seeing sights along the way, with their adorable doggie Maxine in tow. After checking into a quaint cabin in La Push, Jack + Brooke were ready to solidify their union by eloping.
Olympic National Park is one of America's most diverse National Parks, with its share of beaches, rainforests, and precipitous mountaintops of Hurricane Ridge. If you are thinking of eloping in Olympic National Park, there are so many stunning spots to choose from!
Driving down the 101 to Hoh Rainforest, the prolific trees beckoned us. Curious elk wandered down the road, with the Hoh River on the other side.
The Hoh Rainforest receives about 140 inches of rain a year, resulting in brilliant green hues and beautiful moss-adorned trees. Brooke + Jack wrote their vows on the trail, taking the time to ground themselves in nature. With the only obligation being to pick out a ceremony spot, Brooke + Jack soaked in the sights, hand in hand. Suddenly, there it was. A gorgeous clearing amongst Olympic National Park's many trees.
After their unfeigned ceremony, these two sweethearts wanted to include something sweet for dessert! We will forever love that you are never tied to ANY tradition while having an adventure elopement. If cake + champagne are your thing, GO FOR IT! All we want for you is to be yourselves and include those glimmers of excitement that you adore. Naturally, cake + champagne were Brooke + Jack's thing, as we took to the shores of Rialto Beach in Olympic National Park.
Brooke + Jack took some moments just for each other, admiring the huge drift logs and rocks, while the Pacific Ocean sang in the background. Afterward it was time for relaxation, with these two heading back to their La Push cabin; Maxine the pup awaiting her newlywed parents.
