Hannah + Dan met through mutual friends, and it was thanks to one of those friends that graciously offered up their beautiful riverfront home + farm on which to have their wedding ceremony! What made this space truly special for the both of them was the fact that they got to know each other at the property, even sharing their first kiss on the Willamette. When we arrived in Corvallis, our first stop was Hannah + Dan's house for an in-home session, which allowed them some time to get comfortable around our cameras before the wedding began! The beauty of having an "engagement shoot" at your disposal is the freedom to use that session at any time! Whether you want those photos for Save the Dates, or just to have for yourselves, there is no such thing as too many photographs of the love you and your partner share. This time together before the wedding was also a nice way to share some serene moments prior to the day's events. Everything from the golden sunflowers to their attire [Hannah wore a vintage wedding dress and flowers in her hair, while Dan donned a dapper vest [try saying that five times fast] and some Birkenstocks], really let their personalities shine. We are all about unconventional, and the beauty of refusing to conform to what others say you should do is what allows for such authenticity. You look the best when you are true to who you are! Because your wedding or elopement day is about YOU.
