Paragraph: Jordan + Andrew wanted an epic Oregon waterfall elopement, and with almost 300 waterfalls and counting, the Columbia River Gorge is where this couple set their sights on to host their Pacific Northwest elopement.
This bride and groom met when they worked together at a pizza place, with Jordan remarking "pizza really did bring us together!". She crushed on him for a year and a half, where every one of their coworkers saw a connection between these two before they noticed it themselves.
Nothing ever came of working together until years later, where Jordan met someone with the same last name as Andrew and immediately thought of him. Fate intervened when Andrew found her on Instagram, and the sparks flew.
"The connection from when we were younger was stronger than ever, and this time we couldn't deny it." Jordan said. They made up for lost time, and got engaged at the top of El Yunque Rainforest in Puerto Rico.
Rainforests call to Andrew + Jordan, who loved the idea of a moody Oregon elopement. They had their closest friends travel with them from Virginia, and once all of us had reached Wahclella Falls from our muddy hike, their friends helped them get ready - away from each other's gazes.
Jordan's friends held up blankets while she dressed in a lightweight wedding gown and flower crown. Andrew and his pals got ready near the foot of Wahclella Falls; the whooshing waterfall as a soundtrack. Once Jordan + Andrew were ready, their ceremony began.
Being surrounded by loved ones is an incredible way that these two were able to receive support from those who are so important to them. Once their vows were sealed with a kiss, their friends headed back to Portland. Andrew + Jordan wanted to have a few moments to themselves during their Oregon elopement day: in the form of a five mile hike to a gorgeous lookout.
Rain-soaked but full of love, Jordan + Andrew busted out their heart shaped pizzas for a picnic at the top of the overlook. What a way to pay homage to how these two met! The trunk of a rental car would then serve as the perfect place for a s'mores dessert: sheltering the camp stove from the rain.
-Bring a thermos to keep hot drinks hot! Especially if you are eloping during the rainy months, tea or hot chocolate is a must during your elopement adventure.
-If you are wanting to have warm food, use foil or an insulated bag that reflects and traps heat.
-Pack cake slices or delicate food items on the top of your backpacks! Pack your picnic blanket on the bottom so that when you set your packs down for photos, you aren't damaging any parts of your yummy picnic.
