Columbia River Gorge Elopement
Hell yes; you’ve decided to elope! How empowering and thrilling, to take your wedding adventure into your own hands. Give yourself a virtual high five from us for going the route that resonates with you.
You may be wondering: what now?
When it comes to traditional weddings, the timeline of the day will involve a lot of structure; with little room for deviation. The beauty of adventure elopements is that there are NO rules.
Well, scratch that. The only rule you have to follow is to ensure you are having an elopement that is in line with your + your partner’s values, and allows you to celebrate such a monumental event with authenticity.

We take great joy in helping you and your partner to plan and capture your elopement, tailoring the special moments uniquely to you. Every elopement begins with a good brainstorming session: gather some cozy blankets, chill out on the couch with some tea, and take a moment with your partner to envision your perfect day together. [How’s that for a fun, easygoing date idea?!]
Here are some considerations:
Think hiking, toasting some local craft beers, or making a meal together at your Airbnb! Activities are particularly good for adventure elopements and give us the opportunity to capture the essence of what makes your relationship truly unique.
Imagine a champagne toast on a mountaintop, a first dance amongst the Oregon trees, or sharing a piece of cake after you’ve said your vows.
Are there any restaurants near the area you’re dying to check out? Would you consider hosting a caterer or chef to cook for you at your Airbnb? Or maybe you’d prefer packing a picnic for the site?
No use planning a late afternoon ceremony in the middle of winter when the sun says goodbye so early!
Once you’ve got a list of fun aspects to include on your adventure elopement day, it’s time to fine-tune those ideas based on the logistics of your elopement.
Taylor + Kyle eloped at North Cascades National Park. The pair had been road tripping across the US and booked a romantic hotel for the evening, making a morning shoot ideal. Taylor + Kyle thought having a little picnic would be fun, but the morning is slightly too early for dinner. Instead, Josh and I picked up some donuts before our rendezvous to North Cascades—they had a blast sharing coffee and donuts after their heartfelt ceremony over the frozen lake. Once they made it official, the four of us trekked around the snow, snapping photos along the way. We made it back to the cars with plenty of time for Taylor + Kyle to grab some lunch and be at their hotel for check-in!
The next day, the two of them would be making their way from northern Washington into Oregon. We chose a day-after session location based on their itinerary, so as not to disrupt their road trip plans.

In the case of Heather and Margaux’s Mount Hood elopement, their hike was over 7 miles. That’s a little too long to include any other locations, so we went to a waterfall for their day-after session instead! Another example is Tasha + Chad’s Mount Rainier elopement. Beginning at sunrise, we hiked up to Mount Fremont Fire Lookout. Taking distance into consideration, we knew we still had time for additional photos at another location! After arriving back at the parking lot, we headed over to the other side of Mount Rainier National Park for photos at Reflection Lake.
We are here to make planning your elopement adventure fun, and help relieve as much stress as we can. We know it’s not every day you plan such an important event in you + your partner’s lives, and it’s so crucial to celebrate that!
Remember; you march to the beat of your own drum. That’s why going the adventure elopement route came so naturally! When it comes to logistics and getting details sorted, we are here for you.
