Sometimes, an elopement means just you + your partner. Other times, it means including loved ones in your day. Or, like Brett + Bethany, you can have the best of both worlds and take some moments just for yourselves while sharing your elopement day with friends and family, too!
Bethany + Brett chose to have an intimate wedding in the heart of Olympic National Park: underneath the balcony of trees in the Hoh Rainforest. Their elopement was nothing short of dreamy; exchanging heartfelt vows set against one of the Pacific Northwest most awe-inspiring backdrops.
As a Washington elopement photographer, these are the moments I live for: soft light filtering through moss, covered trees, the quiet rustles of leaves, and the genuine emotion that fills the air when couples choose to say “I do” in a place that speaks to their souls.
Bethany + Brett not only made their micro wedding day meaningful by getting married in Olympic National Park, but also by imparting fall vibes with a dark color palette and having a Halloween wedding! This meant that the Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park was the perfect setting: autumn had painted this gorgeous forest in golden hues that made Bethany’s beautiful black dress really pop. Surrounded by a small circle of loved ones, Brett + Bethany’s ceremony was every bit intentional as it was magical.
After the ceremony, Brett + Bethany explored the Hall of Mosses trail, complete with a first dance sharing earbuds.
The group then traveled to Port Angeles, where a cozy Airbnb dinner and cake cutting brought everyone together in celebration!
The next day, we met at Rialto Beach in La Push. Where are all my Twilight fans at?! It’s La Push, baby.
This day-after photo shoot gave Brett + Bethany’s elopement trip some diversity and adventure: not to mention time to just soak in some beautiful moments together before heading back to their home state of Texas. The atmosphere felt almost cinematic as we trooped through driftwood-covered sands and admired the towering sea stacks in the distance. An adventure session or day-after session is YOUR time to play, and have moments with your partner that feel both wild and intimate. These are the kinds of adventures that make Washington elopements unforgettable; when couples embrace the beauty of nature and their relationship.
Olympic National Park is one of the best places to get married in Washington: yeah, I said it!
Whether you’re drawn to the moody coastlines of the pacific or the forest greenery, the options for stunning views and backdrops are endless.
